Top BeenThere-SawThat.com is my collection of raw digital imagery and artistic concepts that have resulted from my various travels and photo opportunities. The primary purpose of the site is to showcase my efforts and share the capabilities of state-of-the-art digital imaging. While my experiences cover several venues, the primary focus of my efforts has been in motor sports imaging. Being a freelance motorsports photographer, a regular contributor to Sprint Car and Midget Magazine and National Speed Sport News, a racing enthusiast for over 50 years (starting in PA), and just plain nuts about sprint car and midget racing, it's hard to have an imagery collection that's not laden with wheels, noise, dust, grease, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and methanol fumes!

My "day job", testing and evaluating digital imaging systems, affords occasional travel opportunities and is very complementary to my personal imaging endeavors.

All imagery contained herein was captured with 5+ megapixel cameras. The first was an Olympus E20N ZLR "prosumer" rig, which has been relegated to guard duty in my closet since acquiring my Nikon D200, D1x, and D70 DSLRs and Nikkor lens collection. Post-processing/digital darkroom duties are almost exclusively handled with the Adobe Photo Elements application.

Having problems loading images or getting white XML error screens? Use MS Internet Explorer and make the following security-related adjustments:

        1. Click TOOLS/POPUP BLOCKER and turn off to allow popups.
        2. Click TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS and then the SECURITY tab. Set security to Medium-Low.
        3. Additionally you can place this URL in the list of sites to allow popups from via the TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS, then PRIVACY tab and SETTINGS button

These actions should allow all galleries to load correctly.

Top Since, by nature, this is a "bandwidth intensive" site, your patience is essential to get the most from your visit. Layout and contents of the site has been a compromise between quality and size versus download time. Most images are 450x300 pixels and should decompress and load in approximately 15-20 seconds (28.8k dial-up). Some special renditions, 600x400 pixels in size, or more, are offered and will take a little longer. When selecting an "event", the lowest level of the site's architecture, and where the thumbnails and captions are launched, a minute or two may be required for all material to be rendered.

You are encouraged to wait for ALL thumbnails to load BEFORE selecting any for enlarged viewing -- otherwise all thumbnails may not be displayed.

Watch the activity on your browser's progress and status bars. Also use the sliderbar on the right of this frame to help determine if all thumbnails have loaded.

Top All images on this site are available as prints (except "Concerts/Show" or other restricted imagery) and stock/editorial uses. Custom and special concepts also available. Please inquire. For print orders, please send an e-mail with the image number/identity, quantity, requested sizes, etc., to BTSTdigitalimaging@msn.com. All prints will be produced by a professional lab with Fuji chemical processes and paper. Please note that the quality of the original digital file will determine the maximum size that can be printed with sharpness and detail. An e-mail reply will be provided that will outline costs, image/print limitations, payment instructions, etc., pertaining to your order. Prices typically start at $4 for 4x5 - 4x6 and $12 for 8x10 - 8x12, plus postage, for simple "imagery only" prints (no multi-image blends, annotations, custom material, etc.). Additional sizes may be available. Special prices may be available on some imagery or events. Please inquire. Payment can be made by cashier's check or money order.
