BeenThere-SawThat.com is my collection of digital imagery, artistic concepts, and published works that have resulted from my various travels, photo opportunities, and interviews. The primary purpose of the site is to showcase my efforts and share the capabilities of state-of-the-art digital imaging. While my experiences cover several venues, the primary focus of my efforts has been in motorsports imaging. Being a freelance motorsports photographer, a regular contributor to Sprint Car and Midget Magazine, a racing enthusiast for over 60 years (starting at the long-gone Sanatoga Speedway, outside Pottstown, Pennsylvania), and just plain nuts about sprint car and midget racing, it's hard to have an imagery collection that's not laden with wheels, noise, dust, grease, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and methanol fumes!
"I love the smell of methanol in the evening! It gives me a feeling of...... victory!"
All imagery contained herein was captured with 5+ megapixel cameras. The first was an Olympus E20N ZLR "prosumer" rig, which has been relegated to guard duty in my closet since acquiring my Nikon D3s, D300s, D200, D1x, and D70 DSLRs and Nikkor lens collection. Post-processing/digital darkroom duties are almost exclusively handled with the Adobe Photo Elements application.
